It’s been a while since I wrote here in my blog. Been thinking of what to write. Initially, I planned to write a lot about Cryptos but I think it’s not my field of expertise and I don’t really have a lot of time to research on this area so I will write more about travel and food which I do a lot.
Occasionally, I will add some topics on Cryptos. I do lots of eating, will be writing more about the places that I have eaten at which appeals to the mass rather than the niche.
Been a while since I’ve been dedicating myself into doing reading. So it’s time to reduce screen time and increase read time to better improve the knowledge I have towards various topics. I guess the next post I will write about is about the trip to the Sultan of Brunei’s palace which is opened once annually for only three days.
Writing is therapeutic. It isn’t easy to write what it’s in our mind. Every single piece of written work is unique in its way. I don’t think we could write the same 500 word essay. I like writing with my laptop more than when I write on my phone. The screen is bigger and the feeling of the keys being pressed is orgasmic.
In a world today, is it enough to have a million bucks for a start?
There are definitely lots of people who would say that a million bucks nowadays is really nothing as everything is expensive around the world. The first question is, how many of us has ever seen a real million dollars in a pile of cash in front of us? This is the case for many Malaysians who are stuck in debt with not much in their banks.
What would you do if you had a million bucks?
Would you directly buy a new house, cars and diamonds?
If suddenly a million bucks landed in my bank account (which is unlikely), the first thing I would do is to pay off all of my debts. I still need to pay for my car which is another three years. I will prepay all the insurance for my wife and I for the next decade so there is no need to worry for that.
Give 200 k to my parents. 200 k kept as cash just for emergency purposes.
Donate some to charity, maybe get some modification done for my car. Bring my family to the States and China for a vacation.
Some may use the money to open a business, but I think a having enough money and spending it slowly would last for a while if we spend it wisely. If I had a lot of cash suddenly one day, I guess, I have to still maintain my spending at current levels but keep more as cash. Use what I earn from investment to be spend to maintain the original levels of cash that I have.
Then the rest of it, I am going to invest it. I will try to spend only the money I earn from investment and to grow the whole investment. I am still looking at different online virtual investments to get into that are safe. There is currently Celsius which lets you earn around 7% per year of your Cryptos. That’s great isn’t it. Having assets that increases in value yet also paid in interest for those assets you own. Imagine that.
It’s mid week and I guess after tomorrow everyone is gearing up to head for the weekends. Bitcoin has risen a lot and Steem has also risen. Have you invested in any Cryptos?
Hopefully, Steem hits USD 1/Steem by year end. President Trump has been waging trade wars. Luckily, it’s not about nuclear weapons of mass destruction these days. I guess, the next few decade would be more on cyber threats and how drones are hijacked from it’s backdoor.
In a few more months, I am going to be a year in Steemit. I have been spending a lot of time writing that I will slowly claim some time off to catch up with some book reading and workouts. I have gotten more engaged as the day goes into Steemit and it is now an important part of my life. I am still currently working on my own formula of how to slowly get a sustainable income which I think is an accumulation of a virtual real estate. I think in the future, more of us are gonna instead of having physical property have stakes in virtual estates. If there isn’t physical land, where can we built? Instead of owning a whole physical real estate, the better way is to own portions of it reducing risk substantially.
I have learnt to write better works by practicing writing daily. I don’t think it’s been a day for the last 260 plus days where I missed a day or two with no content. Sometimes, there is this part of me that doesn’t feel like doing it but the other part that says
“HEY! You haven’t come this far just to return back. It’s how life is. Hard things make our mind stronger. “
